Week1 Sampson

Week 1-
Tuesday we started the new project and i had to find a group of four to do the project with, me sanjay, ben and michael all formed a group together for the project.
To start the project we would need to choose a type of game we wanted for this we all chose to pick out a piece of papper from Drews pot, on the paper it would give us a genre inwhich our game would be and we recieved puzzle based. We all chose that we didnt want a game based solely on puzzles like Portal, i wanted for other components to be implemented within our game world. We all chose as a group to have puzzle based fighting system.

Wednesday we as a group finished our discussions of the puzzle based fighting system and wanted to talk more about the over all theme of our game world, i wanted a game qorld like Legacy of kain: Soul Reaver, it would be open world and have alot of puzzles you would need to get past in order to reach the objective and there were also elements of fighting included, unfourtunately the rest of my group wanted a rpg fantasy world. i did not mind this idea and so we all went along with it.

Thursday we knew what world we wanted ad now needed weapons and because of the style of the game we all had individual tasks to do, i had to make up the spell names and research diferent spells then get references to what the spells would look like, i also had researched how the magic system would work and the evolved states of the magic.

After this i thourght for our main storyline it would be good to have diferent clans, each race belonged to a clan. After we had chosen to have diferent races we chose to have the main races that are in most rpg fantasy games so humans, elves and dwarves. I was in charge of the dwarves and so i had gone through and researched specifications of dwarfs like there looks and heights, i soon came to the conclusion that they are similar to leprachauns.
